Counselling Sessions

 

Initial

Your initial 15-20minute session is free of charge. This is a chance for us to get to know each other, to determine whether the program which we offer meets your expectations. 

If you decide to proceed we will arrange for your first appointment. Within a day or two you will receive an e-mailed questionnaire and a invoice to cover the cost of the whole 12 week program. Payment must be received in full before your first regular appointment.

SCCS has invested in supporting technology in the form of a "Smokerlyser" , a powerful visual tool in assisting a smoker return to normal Carbon Monoxide values.

Month 1

You will meet with your counsellor for 4 appointments (15-20mins) during the first 4 weeks of the program.

Within the first couple of appointments we will have determined your treatment schedule and agreed on a quit date. By meeting weekly for the first month we can provide support and advice and modify your treatment regimen if necessary.



Months 2 and 3

From weeks 5 through 12, we will arrange 4 further appointments (15-20mins) every 2 weeks again to provide support and advice and treatment modification should that be necessary. 

 

 

Program Cost:

The total cost of the 12 week program for one person is $275 (incl HST) payable by cash or cheque prior to the FIRST regularly scheduled appointment. For two family members in the same household the cost is $425. We will issue a receipt for the program which may be used for tax purposes. If you decide to quit prior to your THIRD regularly scheduled appointment we will refund $150 or $230 if a two client fee has been paid.
